Looking for useful hair care tips for rainy season?

Hair care is essential in rainy season! If you are looking for some useful and effective hair care tips during rainy season then this post is valuable for you. This post will provide you with preventive hair care measures during rainy season.

It is true that rain brings a relief from the summer. On the other hand, it brings a lot of humidity. The humid weather in the monsoon impacts the scalp and hair in a significant manner. It simply spells disaster for your mane and makes your hair frizzy, scalp greasy and result in hair fall. Rain also turns the hair lifeless. Therefore, it is essential to follow a concrete hair care regimen.

Protection of hair from rain showers and a balanced diet will do wonders for your hair. One needs to include fresh fruits, raw salads, sprouts and yogurt in the daily diet. Besides this, conditioning is also helpful in maintaining health of hair.

Some of the useful hair care tips for rainy season are as follows:

  • Balanced diet: Though hair growth and texture vary from person to person, hair health also depends on your diet. All types of hair require certain amount of attention. So, eat a balanced diet, especially eatables that are rich in protein, mineral and calcium. Always remember that vitamins and iron play a very important role in maintaining healthy hair. Salad, fruits, beetroots and other vitamin-rich eatables are sure to make your hair healthy. Also, drink at least eight glasses of water daily and avoid oily food.
  • Cover your hair: Always protect your hair from rain, as pollutants present in rain water may weaken the shaft bonds, making your hair dull and limp. Always carry an umbrella to protect yourself from raining. Also use a scarf or a hat to protect your strands or tie a ponytail.
  • Go for short cuts: Short hair are easy to maintain and manageable. So, go and get a cool and trendy short haircut this season.
  • Wash your hair well: Keep your hair neat and clean. Wash them on every alternate day. Apply coconut oil before washing as it deeply penetrates the scalp and hair strands.
  • Use the right products: Make sure that you are using branded and genuine hair care products. Please don’t just buy products off the shelf, driven by enticing advertisements. Also, avoid tying your hair or putting a hair accessory when it’s wet.
  • Keep it natural: During rainy season, try to avoid hot hair-treatments such as perming, straightening or colouring, as these need time to settle on your strands. Moreover, these treatments tend to weaken the hair shaft and promote breakage, hair fall and split ends.
The above mentioned tips will definitely help protecting your hair during rainy season.
